Mbah Wali Meayaki or Sunan Meayerti has a close relationship with the history of the establishment and development of Bumijawa Village in Tegal Regency, Central Java. Bumijawa Village itself has the nickname of the Wali Meayerti Bumi which is emphasized to Sunan Meayaki.
The word Bumijawa itself comes from Sanskrit, namely the earth and jawata. Which means the earth is an area for a place to live, and jawata which means god. However, because the majority of Bumijawa villagers are Muslim and the majority of Java, the mention of Bumijawata is changed to Bumijawa.
Bumijawa is the name of the sub -district and also the name of the village which is administratively included in the Tegal Regency, Central Java. Bumijawa is in the southern part of Tegal Regency on the slopes of Mount Slamet and is at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level (masl).
At this height, cold air and fog covered the daily life of the BumiJawa. In extreme weather conditions, the temperature can reach 16 degrees Celsius.
