Ramadan ends and leaves, there is a longing and regret

We are used to the arrival and departure of the month of Ramadan, but why when Ramadan ends soon and immediately leaves us, there is a feeling of deep longing, or even regret that pierces?

Soon arriving when Ramadan must end and the fasting month which will start to rush to leave us, the separation before. Then, we will be a place and hope. It would be like Allah SWT brought us back to the holy month of Ramadan next year.

How old are we at this time, the number of ages also we have passed the month of Ramadan. How many days have been fasting obligations? Our age is also 30 days with an average count of 1 month of Ramadan. Of course, since we were exposed to the law, it is obliged to fast and not be in a state of syar’i.

If we are currently 45 years old, and the Aqil Baligh 15 -year -old benchmark, then we have undergone Ramadan fasting for 30 months. And so on can count just for reflection and or reflection.

Likewise, if our current age is 50 years, it means we have welcomed, meet and fill the month of Ramadan. Undergoing mandatory fasting and other worship as a suggestion until the sunnah.

Coming and giving the month of Ramadan is a decree from Allah SWT. What we need is the Islamic attitude of surrender (Islamic) as a manifestation of the implementation of the pillars of Islam. Also an attitude of faith (faith, belief) as an implementation of the pillars of faith (faith in Allah SWT who has reduced the command of the obligation to fast Ramadan).

Regret and feel guilty

Then, how can Ramadhan end ending can bring regret (besides longing) for us?

Regret is a feeling of sadness or disappointment that arises because it has made mistakes or deeds that are not good, inappropriate, or not properly. Regret is almost certain to go hand in hand with guilt. Both can be a cause and effect. Being sorry for making mistakes and therefore feel guilty.

If regret is connected at the end of the month of Ramadan, then it is not Ramadan that makes us regret. Unless this is more about how we treat Ramadan. The messenger of Allah (may peace over him) has gone, has given warning: “How many people are fasting, but they don’t get anything but starve and thirst. “

We should be concerned and regret the phenomenon of people who are not fasting, but deliberately show off ourselves in front of people who are fasting. I don’t know what this phenomenon really is. It could be because of ignorance. Or it could be because of the depletion of Islamic levels and faith some of us who deliberately do not carry out fasting. This is one way to not maintain the sanctity of Ramadan with heart and clean behavior

Let’s look back, like what and the extent to which we treat Ramadan which will soon end and leave. If there are things that make us feel guilty, it’s much better. That is, feeling guilty is a good feeling to be guarded as a form of self -introspection, muhasabah self.

The guilt that led to regret of his relationship with the month of Ramadan could be a lot of things. For example, not glorifying, underestimating, considering lightly or even humiliating the month of Ramadan by not carrying out intentional fasting. Or keep in carrying out various forms of disobedience during the month of Ramadan. Na’udzubillah Min Dzalik.

Cover up regret and foster longing

If there are regrets and feelings of guilt while Ramadan will end and leave, then the best is to welcome the generosity of God Almighty who opens the door to repentance. Repentance is the best way to cover up regret (ask for forgiveness for sin) on our behavior that does not always have the purity of Ramadan.

Indeed, Ramadan will end and leave, but Ramadan will definitely return to Allah SWT. And that is what makes us miss Ramadan (for the first time) in our lives. So as a Muslim who believes, it must be a longing for the longing to meet Ramadan again.

Ramadan and by carrying out fast worship that is mandatory in it, it is the way of Allah the Almighty convincing Muslims to be more and more than His commands. And only worship him. And in response to slavery, during the month of Ramadan we maximize worship and other charity bodies.
