Betsy Wolfe Stars In The New York Pops Underground Cabaret At 54 Under

Tony Award^® winner Santino Fontana brings his super expertise to 54 Under and it’s a present that wraps you up in his humor, allure, vocal prowess, laid again demeanor, jeopardy type musical decisions and over all entertaining. By the tip of the present you’re feeling as if you understand him or at the very least part of him. Beginning off with Charles Strouse and Lee Adams’s “Stick Round,” the evening was a Russian roulette of fabric.  The viewers picked numbers and as Santino put it “for those who don’t just like the present, it’s your fault.” First up for my present was the naughty however amusing  “Making Love Alone” adopted by Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella‘s “Do I Love You,” which made for an amusing mixture of songs. Throughout Cinderella Mr. Fontana had sneakers that have been constructed up 2 inches inside and a couple of inches exterior, which trigger an incredible quantity of ache, so the tune instructed the story of his plight, which made the tune tackle a a lot completely different which means. One other favourite second of the evening was “Buddy’s Blues” from Follies. Already a private favourite, this made me need to see Santino play this position at a later date, although personally I’d solid him as Ben.

For the finale songs “The Music In You” from Cinderella, instructed how he and the solid beloved watching the magnificent Victoria Clark carry out. “This Can’t Be Love” from 1938 Rodgers and Hart musical The Boys from Syracuse, ended up in an encore, of Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones’s “They Have been You” from The Fantasticks, which made my visitor producer Pat Addiss extraordinarily blissful.

Santino was backed by his musical director and accompanist Cody Owen Stine, who performed flawlessly.
